Today after the seminar we decided to go to waterstones to have a look at some more magazines and Books to draw inspiration from. The ones we really liked were:
- Grafik 185
- Riot
- Over and Over By Mike Perry
- Super Super
Looking at these magazines really helped us form a central idea on what we wanted to do.
When we got back to uni we got online and started searching through groups of photographers, illustrators and graphic designers from all over. We spoke to Kirstys friend named Arron who is an illustrator in London. He is very talented and has some great work. We messaged him to see if he would be interested in helping with our magazine project and he said he was up for it. We also managed to get in touch with a photographer in Milan and Paris. They also agreed to help out. Tomorrow we have an interview with a girl named Aja Ireland, she is an ex Trent student who studied graphic design. She now has her own range of t shirts which she screen prints her designs on. We are very much looking forward to hearing what she has to say and making her an addition to our magazine.
