Meeting Minutes 1

Today Kirsty and I read over the brief and started discussing some potential ideas we had in mind for our zine. We found the lecture from Alex to be very inspiring and we decided to add him on facebook right away. From looking at his friends we got access to many other zines who were on facebook as well. We spent the majority of the day looking at online magazines and blogs to study the layouts and the content. We fell in love with I Love Fake magazine as they have a very strong visual presence. They use techniques such as stitching and water colour paints over their photographs. Were Worth it too magazine is another one of our favorites, they include articles on street style, visual culture and new talents. After getting our inspiration from various places we decided to focus on:

• New emerging talents
• Illustrations
• Photography
• Crafty graphics

We will meet again tomorrow for another productive day!
